All Board members in attendance.  See sign in sheet for others in attendance.

Report of Officers

Principal – Davita Solter

·   Thank a Teacher Program – a district program to show support to teachers.  A $5 donation is requested and a card will be given to the teacher.  Forms will be sent out to students.

·   Softball and Basketball tournaments to start next week.  Spring concerts will be held this month.

Chairperson – Suzanne Bergen:

·   Ballots for the 2008-2009 election will go out this week.

Treasurer – Katie Fuller: 

·   Currently there is approximately $12,000 in available funds.

Volunteer Coordinators – Jodi Nearing and Kati Jimenez:

·   There is still a need for the Read Naturally program.  A short training is needed and then a weekly commitment (of as much or as little time as you want). 

·   Volunteers are needed for the May 7-16, 2008 book fair.

School Liaison – Christine Fisher: 

·   Help is needed to get donations for the Silent Auction to be held during the ‘Frontier Expo’ night on May 8, 2008.

Meeting Coordinator – Stephanie Henzi:

·   March 4, 2008 meeting minutes were approved with no objection.

Communications Coordinator – Lori Wall: 

·   No report

Committee Reports

Wildcat Tails:

·   There is a new WCT editor in the works for next year!

·   There is a need for WCT reporters to write a report about any Frontier activity that you attend.  Send pictures, a sentence or two, a paragraph, anything! 

Guys Night Out:

·   Saturday March 15 at the 7:00 game.  Tickets were $20 per person and include a hot dog, soda and a Phoenix Coyote hat.

·   140 tickets were sold and it was a big success.  The attendees received a hat and Frontier was named on the scoreboard.

Wildcat Family Fun Night (Suzanne Bergen):

·   None are planned for April.  This month was offered to the 8th grade promotions dance committee to help them raise funds.

·   We are in need of a volunteer to take this over and plan Wildcat Family Fun Nights.

New Business

Fund Request Review (Katie Fuller):

·   A request for $2200 for the rest of the doormats was made.  The motion was approved with no objection.

Monthly Faculty Appreciation:

·   This month’s theme is a ‘Dessert Bar’ and is planned for April 16, 2008.

·   Dates for the rest of the year include:  May 7th ‘Italian Lunch’, which will be in place of the final luncheon usually planned by Lisa Madeya (Lisa to be advised).

Fall Fundraiser:

·   Lisa VelaBrogan is the new chairperson.

·   Many choices were discussed for the fall fundraiser and include:  cookie dough (top pick from the survey), Sees candy, cookbook, Frontier Elementary directory, Entertainment book. 

·   A decision will be made at the May PTSO meeting.

Open Forum

·   The Frontier Expo will be held on May 8th, 2008.

·   The book fair will be held on May 7th through 16th, 2008.

·    Jamba Juice sales will be held on April 18 with proceeds for the 8th grade promotion.

·   The 6th Grade Band will be performing at the Peoria Festival of the Arts on April 12, 2008.

·   It is asked that volunteers refrain from using the copy machines on Wednesdays.
