· There are 1309 students at Frontier Elementary at the start of the 2007/2008 school year.

Chairperson – Suzanne Bergen:

· Read through/discussed the proposed new by-laws. These changes will be up for vote at the next meeting.
· Discussed new upcoming/school events (new winter/holiday movie night with the Polar Express, Mother/Son bowling in October this year, Father/Son event in April, Mother/Daughter event in November, Family Project and Pizza night) Expressed need for volunteers for these new events.

Treasurer – Katie Fuller:
· New this year the PTSO is budgeting a set amount of money per grade/special program (i.e. PE, PI, Choir, Special Ed, Band) of $500. This is a set amount where they do not have to ask for the money from the PTSO and only have to submit a receipt. Approval must be met by Principal Solter however. They are able to ask for monies above and beyond the set amount with approval/vote by the PTSO.
· Tax forms/statements for the 2006/2007 school year are in review.
· This year again each teacher is given $50 for supplies (please submit receipts for monies).

Volunteer Coordinators – Jodi Nearing and Kati Jimenez:
· Please sign up for to be a volunteer and you will be entered into the database.
· Please sign in the binder in the front office whenever you volunteer at the school.

School Liaison – Christine Fisher: No report

Meeting Coordinator – Stephanie Henzi: No report

Communications Coordinator – Lori Wall:
· Discussed the option of a discount card for anyone looking for a fundraiser. These discount cards are free to get and will make a pure profit. Contact Lori for additional information.

Committee Reports

Wildcat Tails (Christine Fischer):
· Looking for reporters for grade levels/sports/special activities.
· Will now accept quarter page size ads in addition to the business card size.
· Christine can be contacted at frontierwct@qwest.net.
· The deadline for the WCT falls around the 20th-22nd of each month.
· A form will be send out to each student to determine how many copies of the WCT the family wants to receive. The WCT will be sent home with the youngest student. Teachers will receive a list of students that will receive a copy of the WCT.

Fall Fundraiser (Suzanne Bergen):
· Readers Digest will start on August 24, 2007. Assembly will be held that day. Orders will be collected no later than Friday September 9th.
· Because Frontier was Readers Digests highest seller last year, we will be earning 51% profit on each dollar earned.
· It was discussed that a portion of the profits from the fundraiser be for ‘campus beautification/enhancement’, i.e. picnic tables, benches, shade trees, trophy case. A long term goal will be an electronic marquee.
· This years fundraiser will include a goal – a portion of the money raised will be used towards campus beautification and a new trophy case.
