All Board Members in Attendance.

This was a closed meeting of the 2007-2008 board members to discuss issues and the budget for the upcoming 2007-2008 school year.

Report of Officers

Chairperson – Suzanne Bergen:
· Lori wall was elected by a unanimous vote for the Communications Coordinator Position. Thank you Lori!
· The welcome packet is complete – great job.
· All 2007-2008 meeting times will be at 3:15.
· A faculty lunch is set up for 8/7 at 12:00 pm. The PTSO is to set up a cruise themed table and bring food for 105 people.
· Kindergarten Meet the Teacher will be held on 8/9 at 9-10 am, PTSO members to be there at 8:45 am. Curriculum Nights will be held on 8/15 and 8/16 at 6:30 pm. PTSO members to be there at 6:15. T-Shirts will be sold at all three events. PTSO members will be introduced at each event.
· The school is still in need for 54 ER suitcases….keep an eye out for a 15”-20” less than $15.

Treasurer – Katie Fuller: No report
Volunteer Coordinators – Jodi Nearing and Kati Jimenez: No report
School Liaison – Christine Fisher: No report
Meeting Coordinator – Stephanie Henzi: No report
Communications Coordinator – Lori Wall: No report

Committee Reports

Wildcat Tails (Christine Fischer):
· Looking for reporters – will be included on the first meetings agenda.
· Will now accept quarter page size ads in addition to the business card size.

Fall Fundraiser (Suzanne Bergen):
· Readers Digest will start on August 24, 2007. Assembly will be held that day.
· This years fundraiser will include a goal – a portion of the money raised will be used towards campus beautification and a new trophy case.

Unfinished Business

T-Shirt Sales (Suzanne Bergen):
· The PTSO will continue to sell Wildcat School T-Shirts. They will be sold at $12/adult and $10/child. A purchase form will be included in the welcome packet. PTSO board will get their t-shirts for free and PTSO family members at cost.
· Old t-shirts will be sold for $7.00.

Wildcats (Suzanne Bergen):
· The PTSO will give each kindergartner a wildcat with a Frontier School T-shirt.
· These wildcats will also be for sale at the Curriculum nights.
· It was discussed that if there are welcome gifts this year for kindergarteners, then it should be in the budget for following years too.
· Motion for up to $1,000 for wildcats. Approved with no objection.

Boo-Hoo/Yahoo Breakfast (Suzanne Bergen):
· Date is set on Friday August 17. PTSO to be there to set up at 7:30. Breakfast will include bagels, fruit, juice, water, muffins and coffee.

Review By-Laws for proposed Amendments (Suzanne Bergen):
· Discussed changes to the by-laws and these changes will be opened for vote at the first PTSO meeting.

New Business

Fund Request/Budget Review (Katie Fuller):
· Went through and discussed the past year budget for updates.
· $500 will be budgeted for each grade level and others (i.e. PE, PI, Choir, Special Ed, Band)
· $50 budgeted for each teacher.
· Motion for $200 for marquee letters. Approved with no objection.
· Motion for $300 for Yahoo-BoHoo breakfast. Approved with no objection.
· Budgeted $600 for PTSO bulletin board.

The next meeting is set for August 21st, 2007 at the Frontier Library. Time 3:15 pm.
