Meet the Teacher
Night:
·
August 7th, 2008 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
·
PTSO to sell new 2008-2009 Frontier t-shirts and hand out volunteer
forms/information.
Curriculum
Nights:
·
August 13, 2008 at 6:30 pm for Grades 1-4 and August 14, 2008 at 6:.30 pm
for grades 5-8.

Frontier
T-Shirts:
·
There will be new 2008-2009 school year t-shirts.

Design and color to be discussed.
Boo Hoo / Yahoo
Breakfast:
·
The
Kindergarten breakfast this year will be held on August 15, 2008 at 8:15 am.
·
PTSO to organize this event (for parents of 70 kindergarteners).
·
Breakfast foods/drinks to be provided.
Carnival:
·
The
carnival is scheduled for March 7, 2009.
Budget:
·
$50
per teacher for use in classroom supplies and for student supplies.
·
$500 per grade level and others
·
$500 for field day
Open Forum
·
The
school office opens on July 21, 2008.
·
Discussion of a Wish Tree (similar to Angel Tree) at Frontier during the
holidays. Names of children would be confidential.

budget changes were voted on and approved by all board members present:
Reduction of
funds allocated for PI to $250.00
Reduction of
funds allocated for Emergency evacuation kits to $500.00
$500.00 to be
allocated to the PE Department for Field Day
$500.00 to be
allocated for Appreciation Gifts
$200.00 to be
allocated for 8th grade Scholarship Awards
$500.00 to be
allocated per grade level
Increase funds
allocated for Expo Night to $500.00
Request for
$350.00 to be allocated for Welcome Back gifts for classified staff was
unanimously voted against. All board members present felt it unfair to give
personal gifts to the classified staff when the $50 start up gift offered to
all other faculty members is used for supplies. |
