This was a closed meeting of the 2007-2008 board members to discuss issues for the upcoming 2007-2008 school year.

Report of Officers

Chairperson – Suzanne Bergen:

·                     Updated the year end activities:  Mrs. Solter received her flowers, the Snocone giveaway was a hit with the kids, the NJHS lunch and the PTSO attendance reward parties were a great success.

·                     Update on the PTSO website:  we will ask Garie to send email reminders of the upcoming meeting information and asked each officer to look at the website and comment.

·                     Discussed the Districts website will be positing each PTSO presidents email address.

Treasurer – Katie Fuller:                       

·                     There is approximately $20,000 in the account. 

·         Discussion about 8^th Grade promotion and limiting PTSO contribution to $500.

·         Discussion about teacher PTSO budgeting $50 per teacher as a start-up gift for the new year and $500 per grade.

Volunteer Coordinators – Jodi Nearing and Kati Jimenez:

Discussed all PTSO events and updated the volunteer request form.

School Liaison – Christine Fisher:           

Not present/No report.

Meeting Coordinator – Stephanie Henzi:           

No report.

Communications Coordinator – Paige Jennings: 

Not present/no report.

Committee Reports

Wildcat Tails (Christine Fischer):             

Not present/no report.

Fall Fundraiser (Suzanne Bergen): 

Readers Digest will tentatively start on August 31 or August 7.

Unfinished Business

By-Laws Review (Suzanne Bergen): 

Asked officers to review the By-Laws and discussed changes to the Meeting Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator sections.

Boo-Hoo/Yahoo Breakfast (Suzanne Bergen):           

Date is set on Friday August 17.  Revised the flyer.

Welcome Packet (Suzanne Bergen):           

Reviewed what the packet will include and board member responsibilities.  The welcome packet is first going out to all Kindergarteners and possibly the entire school.

New Business

Review of the 2007-2008 events:  Discussed during Volunteer Coordinator Report.

Discuss T-Shirt Sales and other School Spirit Options:  T-shirts will be ordered using a blue shirt and grey writing.  Enough for sale at the Yahoo/BooHoo Breakfast will ordered first.  Also discussed purchasing magnetic car signs.  Also discussion about when to sell the school spirit items, including family nights and all curriculum nights.  Suzanne to discuss t-shirt orders with Garie.

Discussed Kindergarten student gift:  Suzanne proposed purchasing little teddy bears with Frontier Wildcat T-shirts for each Kindergartener on their first day of school.  Will find out how much it will be for all K students.

The next closed meeting is set for July 9^th, 2007 at Suzanne Bergen’s home.  Time TBD.
