The purpose of
the Site Council is to:
Promote the involvement of parents and guardians of children
enrolled with the Frontier attendance boundaries
Examine student achievement of state, district and school goals
Consider strategies to strengthen school/community relations through
communication
Review school budget allocations assigned to Frontier
Review and provide input regarding curricular implementation,
professional developments and school goals
Review and recommend procedures designed to ensure a safe learning
environment, as well as safe passage to and from school
Monitor school appearance involving grounds, maintenance of
facilities and issues regarding improvement for the future
According the
Site Council constitution, members of the council must be approved
by the school community. A ballot, one per family, will be
available at the front desk September 1st – September 11th.

the Site Council for 2009-10 will be:

The Frontier
Site Council will meet each month with the following schedule:
September 14
October 5
November 9
January 11
February 8
March 8
April 12
All
meetings will be at 3:15 p.m. in the principal’s office. Anyone is
invited to attend but only Site Council Members may vote. No
personnel issues will be discussed during Site Council meetings.
Topics covered at meetings will be limited to those listed on the
agenda. Agendas shall be established by concerns and items
presented to the chairperson. Anyone wishing to add an item to the
agenda must submit the topic to the chairperson in writing no later
than 48 hours in advance of the meeting. Non-members wishing to
speak to an agenda items will submit a written notice request to the
chairperson at the beginning of the meeting. A three minute time
limit to address the council will be enforced. |
