Food Service Worker Program  Info on obtaining a food handler's card for those who will be volunteering to help on events that involve any type of food handling.

Q: Who needs to have a Food Service Worker Card?

A: Any person, who handles, prepares, serves, sells or gives away food for consumption by persons other than his or her immediate family.  Thus the requirement applies to a person washing or bussing dishes but not to a hostess merely seating guests and supplying menus. Additionally, the requirement does not apply to establishments serving all pre-packaged foods.
